Violetta
This little gem is only 3" high, worked in
vertical netting with picot flower clusters on a delicate matte lavender
vase. |

Corker
Here is another one of my "Corkers" I made
for a gift. The wine bottle stopper is topped with peyote-stitch
in green and wine silver-lined and off-white ceylon pearl seed beads.
I'm not the best at increases and decreases, so for the sides I started
with skinny seed beads, and chose wider ones as I went up (this is where
those oddball beads come in handy!). I did manage a decent job on
decreasing for the top, and finished it with a froth of loops. |

Fuschia Froth
Mollie Fenton says this was one of her favorites.
A bright little confection with three tiers of loopy fringe in shades of
fuschia and pink seed beads with different finishes. Bright pinks
are hard to find in seed beads, and some of these are dyed, so we had to
take special care when cleaning it. |

Aqua Crystal
The light glows through this aqua glass bottle,
accented with transparent luster, capri blue & teal beads. A
ring of beads also accents the stopper. |

Keychain Fobs/Zipper Pulls
These are 2-1/2" long (not counting the clasp),
and the beadwork is 1". The leather is wrapped twice around a piece
of 1/8" wooden doweling. These are great "doodles" -- I can
play with different color and texture combinations without taking a great
deal of time.
I put the clasps on for those who don't want
to wrestle with pliers and jump rings, or if they want to take them off
easily to wash their jacket. They're fun on purses & backpacks,
too. |
